OMEPRAZOL SOLUCION
Prescription omeprazole comes as delayed-release capsules (releases the medication in the intestine to prevent it from being broken down by stomach acids), and packets of delayed-release granules (releases the medication in the intestine to prevent broken down by stomach acids) for suspension (to be mixed with liquid) to be taken by mouth or given through a feeding tube. Prescription omeprazole is usually taken once daily before meals, but may be taken twice daily when used with other medications or up to three times daily before meals when used to treat conditions in which the stomach produces too much acid. If necessary, additional 14-day treatments can be repeated, at most once every 4 months. To help you remember to take omeprazole, take it around the same time every day. Take omeprazole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of the medication or take it more often or for a longer time than directed by your doctor’s prescription or what is indicated on the package.
