DIPIRONA SODICA
Dipirone has an antispasmodic effect by directly inhibiting peripheral smooth muscle, which decreases its excitability. This effect is also derived in part from an increase in nitric oxide, which stimulates the production of intracellular cyclic GMP, implying a relaxant effect on smooth muscle.
Dipyrone has an anti-inflammatory effect derived from its inhibition of peripheral proinflammatory prostaglandins, inhibition of neutrophil chemotaxis at the site of inflammation, and inhibition of proinflammatory factors in macrophages. In the doses used therapeutically, its analgesic, antipyretic and antispasmodic effects predominate over the anti-inflammatory effect
