THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS:

INDICACIONES TERAPEUTICAS:
Hipertensión: AMLODIPINO es adecuado como tratamiento inicial de primera elección de la hipertensión arterial y puede utilizarse como monoterapia para el control de la presión arterial sanguínea en la mayoría de los pacientes.
Aquellos enfermos que no estén adecuadamente controlados con un solo antihipertensivo pueden beneficiarse al agregar AMLODIPINO, el cual ha sido utilizado en combinación con diuréticos tiazídicos, bloqueadores de adrenorreceptores beta, bloqueadores alfa, o inhibidores de la enzima angiotensina convertidora.
AMLODIPINO también está indicado para reducir el riesgo de enfermedad coronaria fatal y de infarto al miocardio no fatal, y para reducir el riesgo de enfermedad vascular cerebral.
Enfermedad arterial coronaria: AMLODIPINO es adecuado para reducir el riesgo de revascularización coronaria y la necesidad de hospitalización por angina en pacientes con enfermedad arterial coronaria.
Angina crónica estable: AMLODIPINO está indicado para el tratamiento de primera elección en la isquemia del miocardio, para obstrucción fija (angina estable) y/o vasoespasmo/vasoconstricción (angina variable de Prinzmetal) de los vasos coronarios.
AMLODIPINO puede utilizarse en aquellos casos en los que el cuadro clínico inicial sugiera un posible componente de vasoespasmo/vasoconstricción, aunque estos no se hayan confirmado.
AMLODIPINO puede utilizarse como monoterapia, o en combinación con otro medicamento antianginoso en pacientes con angina refractaria a los nitratos y/o dosis adecuadas de betabloqueadores.
